Perfume Testers

Les testeurs de parfum contiennent la fragrance d’origine, généralement dans un emballage simple et parfois sans capuchon, à un prix plus avantageux.

Perfume testers: the same fragrance, simpler packaging

Perfume testers are a favourite with fragrance lovers looking for value. A tester contains the same genuine fragrance as the retail version, but it is supplied in simpler packaging, often a plain box or no box, and sometimes without a cap. Testers were originally made for shop counters, which is why the packaging is more basic. If you're buying for yourself, they're a smart way to enjoy your favourite scents.

Tester vs retail

• Same fragrance: the juice inside is identical to the retail product.
• Simpler packaging: plain box or none, and sometimes no cap.
• Often better value than the boxed version.
• Best for personal use rather than as a wrapped gift.

Storing your tester

1. Keep it in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight.
2. Avoid storing it in a steamy bathroom.
3. If there's no box, a drawer or cupboard protects it from light.
4. Store upright to protect the spray mechanism.
